Creative Opportunities

At Lower Lights Ministries, we value creativity and innovation.  Throughout our history, many groups and individuals have discovered creative ways to raise funds for our continued service to the Franklinton neighborhood.

One example is a group of Nazarene senior adults on the Central Ohio District.  This group takes and annual trip to destinations throughout the United States.  During this trip, participants must not call their transportation system a "bus", but rather a "coach."  Offenders must pay a penalty for every use of the word "bus."  Each year, this creative idea translates into hundreds of dollars to support Lower Lights Ministries - obviously quite a number of insubordinate travelers go on these trips!

We encourage groups and individuals to come up with creative fundraising ideas, be it donating proceeds from a family or community garage sale, holding a "hunger strike" in your office where employees donate money they would spend for lunch to our mission, or other "interesting" ideas.
