This has been an incredible season of preparation and growth for the LLM staff. As part of this preparation, our program directors have had the privilege of attending several conferences and seminars not only gain knowledge and how they can better serve LLM, but also a chance to help other ministries as they begin similar programs.

  • Rachel’s House goes to the Ohio Reformatory for Women

Recently, Warden Patricia Andrews and Chaplain Arthur Baron, ardent supporters of Rachel's House who were pivotal to the success of the program at the Franklin Pre-Release Center, transferred to the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville, Ohio.  This is the largest female prison in the entire state.

This transfer opened the door for Jan Ruark and Lower Lights to expand the program to an additional institution.  Though ORW poises some new challenges, such as a population nearly three times as large as Franklin Pre-Release, Jan is excited about the prospects to impact more lives of women who need a second chance!

  • Feazel Roofing fulfills a generous offer to replace roof at Rachel's House II

Suffering in some chilly February weather, a crew from Feazel Roofing repaired a VERY leaky roof at our second property.  Leaks from the roof were causing considerable damage to the home, and Mike and Todd Feazel committed to contribute the labor and some material to replace the roof.  Also helping with the project was Palmer-Donovan Manufacturing who donated much of the material.

Words cannot express our gratitude to Feazel Roofing and Palmer-Donovan for investing in the lives of women!
